Our treasurer gave his report.

There were report backs on these: UFPJ: local meeting wed 19 Oct at CWA office; DCRESL; DCCAN; Jim McDonald's teach-in; World Can't Wait Press Conference; ad hoc Karl Rove action; SOA action 18-20 November; upcoming retreat 21-23 October.

Proposals

1. Iran War. phase one proposal to have ongoing educational campaign on the possibility of the US waging war on Iran. working group already exists. unanimous passage.

2. World Can't Wait. level 1. Want DAWN endorsement of multi-part action including vigil at White House until 2 November. unanimous passage.

3. Confront the War Machine, March 2006. Proposal for a month of various actions commemorating the third anniversary of the start of the war on Iraq. 12 yes, 2 abstentions.

4. National Campaign for Non-violent Resistance- "National Stand Down Day." level1. 18 November, 2005. Calling for civil disobedience and all manner of actions at military recruiting stations across the country. unanimous passage.

5. National Youth & Student Peace coalition's call for "Not Your Soldier Day." 17 November, 2005. level 1. They are organizing demonstrations at military recruiting stations nationally. unanimous passage.

6. DAWN-led demo at a recruitment station in northern Virginia. 18 November, 2005. level2. unanimous passage.

notetaker was kidnapped by Iranian TV at point at which people volunteered to be next week's facilitators, so he is unable to supply their identities.
