together. A couple actions: MGJ feeder march from Dupont at 11:30 will march down to Merle Park via

there will be "Adopt an Intersection" to try to slow down the World Bank delegates from getting to the

project on the 24th to get new email addresses. We will be asking for help gathering them.
DCRESL: Last Wednesday at the Unitarian Church of Arlington, there was a forum about the possible
return of the draft and recruitment in our schools. Many Virginia groups did a huge about of work
promoting this event. The audience was really engaged and there were many questions. Many people were
interested in doing counter recruitment work. We set a date for our first organizing meeting. Go to
DAWN's website for information about how to get involved in DCRESL.

Subsequent meetings.
### BREAK OUTS: ###
There were no breakouts
### PROPOSALS: ###
DC TO NEW ORLEANS CARAVAN: A friend went down and is pretty shocked at the relative lack of support
from the progressive community. Wants to form a caravan to go from DC to New Orleans and help. They
may need help with that and we may be able to do something if we are convinced we are more useful than
a burden down there. Organize caravans to go down on Sunday. Asking for a level 1 endorsement. ****
Level 1 endorsement PASSES %) ****
9-24 DAWN CONTINGENT: Dawn should have a contingent in the 9-24 march. We would organize people from
DC to march as a group. We would want to raise our issues and work together as a group. Does this add
or detract from using our manpower to further the listserv signatures gathering idea. ***** Passes
without objection *****
WHITEHOUSE PROTEST: DAWN could support yellowcakewalk.org guy who stays down at the Whitehouse and
makes fun of Bush. He makes connections with a lot of folks. He could use some more moral support.
Make them laugh instead of getting in their faces. There is a guy that shows up as Nixon. Erik has
signs in 60 languages! Saturdays from noon to dark.
GALLOWAY EVENT: Cindy Sheehan, George Galloway and Camilo Mejilla --> $250 dollars in DANW
tickets/support is proposed in addition to our previous level 2 support. **** 6-9-4 proposal FAILS to
Pass ****
POST 9-24 PUBLIC MEETING PROPOSAL: A meeting after September 24th to gather in the DC folks who are
coming to activism for the first time. Allow people to talk about their experiences. Short
presentations about what DAWN is. No proposals and other type of business. The working groups will do
presentations at the end. This will be set for next Tuesday at AFSC if no better place can be secured
. 75% of meeting would be a discussion. **** Passes 16-2-2 ****
