DAWN endorses both UFPJ's and ANSWER's 9/24 actions Thu.Aug.11.2005@1:00AM to Thu.Aug.11.2005@1:15AM DAWN has endorsed both International ANSWER's and United For Peace and Justice's calls to action for the major September mobilization in downtown Washington, D.C. This was a joint Level 1 endorsement. Although DAWN remains concerned about both organizations' processes and inner politics, as an active anti-war network it wants to embrace a wide range of events with the potential of strengthening the peace and justice movement. DAWN hopes that both organizations will make a good faith effort to become more transparent, democratic and inclusive of voices not often heard. Furthermore, DAWN has been engaged in a local and national dialogue on unity within the movement. One of the aspects of this dialogue is to encourage groups such as ANSWER and UFPJ to begin working together in order to end this immoral and illegal war and begin to seriously address social justice issues.
