April 4: PROTEST THE ARMS BAZAAR!
& DAWN's weekly meeting

This Tuesday (April 4, 2006) the DC Anti-War Network will hold it's weekly meeting when the protest against the Arms Bazaar concludes. This will be the second such weekly meeting DAWN has held as the warmongers in suits, uniforms, cocktail dresses, gowns and tuxedos wine and dine inside the Marriott Wardman celebrating the new weapons systems that will be used to maim and kill in future wars and occupations.

The protest is endorsed by DAWN and organized by the Dorothy Day Catholic Workers of DC.

PROTEST THE NAVY LEAGUE ARMS BAZAAR

WHEN: April 4, 2006, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Marriott Wardman Park Hotel (main entrance), 2660 Woodley Road NW (off Connecticut Ave.) Metro: Woodley Park

WHAT: From April 4-6, 2006, the Navy League is sponsoring its annual Sea-Air-Space Exposition (what we call an "Arms Bazaar") at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Some 100 weapons contractors will be displaying their newest military technology and killing machines.

The Dorothy Day Catholic Worker is organizing a peace vigil on April 4, the anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther king, Jr, to protest this blasphemous celebration of death.

There will be a International Maritime and Congressional Reception from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
