Boston Bus Trip Now a Van Trip

Due to lack of sales, the plans for Boston have been radically revised. We are planning a small van trip to Boston. Here are very important details.

Updated, Tuesday, July 20, 10:35 AM

Registrations for the trip to Boston are closed. Unless you can offer a car to leave Friday or Sunday... If you can, email Jim Macdonald at jsmacdonald as soon as possible.

Each passenger, unless otherwise arranged, is expected to offer $45 toward gas, parking, rental fees, and tolls. If you have previously purchased a ticket, you will be refunded the difference at the time of departure.

There will be two groups leaving. One group will leave, 6 AM, Friday, July 23 at approximately 6:00 AM from Union Station. We will arrive in the Boston area later that afternoon.

The other group will leave sometime in the morning of Sunday, July 25, from a place to be determined. For details, email Sam at sammyk182.

Both groups will return at night on July 26, returning to DC by the morning of July 27. One car will return Sunday, July 25. If you plan on staying longer, you will be expected to make your own arrangements home. The most affordable option is a Chinatown bus to New York, followed by one to DC. Greyhound is more expensive but may be more convenient.

If you are interested in housing in Boston, the best options available are through the Black Tea Society's housing board. For those going in our caravan, we have housing provided for you. However, if you are going separately, you will have to make your own housing arrangements. The housing board has proven to be a good resource, however.
